BlumShapiro Appoints James Harper as Director
WEST HARTFORD, CT – BlumShapiro, the largest regional accounting, tax and business consulting firm based in New England with offices in Connecticut and Massachusetts, has announced the addition of a new director, James R. Harper.
Harper joins BlumShapiro’s West Hartford consulting practice. He is working in the firm’s Business Solutions Group, focusing on mid-market/large client offerings such as CFO Solutions, Shared Services, Process Re-engineering, Business Enterprise Review (BER), Software Selection, Performance Management and ERP services.
Harper has diversified experience in finance, accounting, controls and operational management. Harper comes to BlumShapiro from Stanley Black and Decker where he served most recently as North American Controller. Prior to that, he worked at URS/Washington Group International as Assistant Controller. In addition, Harper has held positions at KPMG and Arthur Andersen.
Harper received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Boise State University in Idaho.
Harper is a Certified Public Accountant in Idaho and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
He is a resident of Canton, CT.
