BlumShapiro And Highland Park Market Donate Food To Pantries Statewide
Nearly $8,000 worth of non-perishable food items was collected recently at the BlumShapiro 5K for Charity at the Travelers Championship held June 12 at the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell.
The food, mostly donated and delivered by Highland Park Market, was given to Columbus House in New Haven, East Hartford Homeless Shelter, Manchester Area Conference of Churches (MACC) Charities, Thomas Merton House in Bridgeport, and the Saint Vincent dePaul Society of Waterbury.
In addition, each non-profit organization will receive a monetary contribution as the result of donations from BlumShapiro and participants at the BlumShapiro 5K for Charity.
